5 Days in Los Cabos

Spread the love

Hey loves! If you follow me on YouTube and Instagram, then you know that a couple of weeks ago I traveled to Cabo for a wedding. Cabo has been one of the places I've always wanted to visit. I follow a lot of travel Instagram accounts and Cabo seemed like the location that everyone was visiting. Thank God my God brother and his wife decided to have their wedding ceremony there, or else I don't know when I would've gone.

For the entire length of trip, I stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. This particular hotel is an all-inclusive family resort. Initially, I booked through a travel agency. But, when I wanted to change rooms, I realized that the agency was charging double than what the actual hotel itself charged. So, I canceled my reservation with the travel agency and booked directly with the hotel instead.

If you would like to see a room tour of the hotel I stayed in, watch part one of my Cabo vlog below:

Day One: Arrival

I arrived at Los Cabos International Airport around 12:30 PM. Getting through customs and security to leave was a breeze. However, when you walk out of that area, you enter a timeshare room where there's a bunch of timeshare representatives trying to sell you a timeshare before you go outside. My advice, just keep walking. Don't stop. I had already booked my round trip shuttle with Transcabo and was forewarned about the timeshare room. So, I didn't make eye contact with anyone and made a beeline for the door.

For my first night in Cabo, I didn't do very much. The first day of a trip wears me out. So, I went to La Hacienda Beach Grill for dinner and went to bed, lol.

Day Two: Relaxing at the Hotel

Every morning I ate breakfast at La Plaza, the international buffet. The omelettes were amazing!

For my first full day, I decided I wanted to try and even out the unexpected tan that I got in Virginia Beach. I rented a beach cabana for the day and laid out in the sun. The cabana was $50 but I got it for $40 thanks to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos app. In the app, they have coupons that you can redeem on the resort based on the amount of nights you're staying. You can find the app in the Apple and Google Play Store.

The cabana was great! But, I was unsuccessful in evening out my tan.

When it was time for lunch, I refused to leave the beach. My cabana came with a waiter so I ordered shrimp tacos from Coco Loco. The view from my cabana was AMAZING! The only downside about the beach at the hotel are the waves. The waves are too rough which makes the water too dangerous to swim in. But, the water was still very calming to listen to. It was recommended that we go to Medano Beach/The Marina in Cabo San Lucas. Unfortunately, time wasn't on my side this vacation so I was unable to go there.

Day Three: Attending a Wedding in Cabo

I spent the majority of my third day in Cabo with the wedding party. The wedding was so beautiful! If/when I ever get married, I want to have a destination wedding. Getting married by the ocean is so magical to me.

After the wedding, we took pictures as family/friends. Following the pictures, there was a cocktail hour. The cocktail hour was on the beach as well. And then finally, a family style dinner was held at La Hacienda Beach Grill. There was so much food!

Day Four: ATVs and Partying in Cabo San Lucas

On my last full day in Cabo, I went on an ATV tour! The tour was with Wild Canyon. We booked the excursion through the tour agents at the hotel. It was $80 for the tour itself. However, it was $15 to enter the park and since we booked through the hotel, we had to pay $20 for ATV insurance. The tour was so much fun! I love doing an ATV tour in every place that I visit. You can never go wrong with an ATV tour.

At one point during the tour, we went over the Los Cabos Canyon Bridge. It's the longest wooden pedestrian hanging bridge in the world! It was pretty scary at first. Not gonna lie, lol.

The entire tour (from the time they picked us up from the hotel and dropped us back off) was four hours.

For my final night, I tried to have dinner at Dozos Sushi Bar. At Dozos they have teppanyaki grills as well as Tatami-style seating. But, I misunderstood the reservation policy and missed out. So, I ended up going to El Molino for dinner. It was another buffet experience.

Around 12 AM, a group of the wedding party caught a taxi to downtown Cabo San Lucas to bar hop. I don't know the places of all the clubs/bars that we went to. But, we spent the majority of the night at Crush Nightspot. Our ATV tour guide recommended that spot to us since they play a lot of Hip Hop.

Day Five: Saying Goodbye to Paradise

Since we stayed up so late the night before, I overslept and missed breakfast. Once I was all packed up and ready to go, I sat in the lobby for a while and just enjoyed my last moments soaking up the view and the weather. My shuttle came to pick me up around 9:20 AM. Once I arrived at the airport, I ended up getting an omelette from the Corona Bar. And then I left paradise :'(

Honestly, five days in Cabo was not enough for me. I will definitely be going back to Cabo in the future. I encourage you all to go as well!

I hope you enjoyed a peek into my Cabo vacation! Let me know in the comments if you've ever been to Cabo before! If you have, please let me know where I should visit the next time I visit! Thanks for stopping by!
